Delta Kappa Chapter had the opportunity to participate in the MLK Jr Youth Summit on Saturday, January 17, 2026 at The Eastside Boys and Girls Club of San Antonio. It was a very windy day with sunny skies and the weather was cool. The stage presented awesome music, food trucks were available, and indoor events were enjoyed by all. Soror Anita Franklin reminded visitors that flu is rampant; COVID is alive and will never go away; and to please pay close attention to all respiratory health issues! Good Health Wins bags, with health information, were distributed to some of the attendees.

On January 19, 2026, Delta Kappa Chapter Sorors along with the Southern Region Queen, Donna Underwood, participated in the largest MLK March in the nation here in San Antonio, Texas. The weather was so nice for the march and the turnout....OH MY GOODNESS!

On January 23, 2026, at Mark's Outing on Commerce Street, Vice President Anita Franklin met with some of the local neighborhood leaders to discuss issues in the district where she lives. Very lively discussions from this Think Tank Group.
