Spring Yard Sale

On Friday, April 1, 2022, Delta Kappa had a fun day of volunteering at Morgan Wonderland , a wheelchair- accessible theme park. Thanks to Sorors  Weenonah Chambers, Anita Freeman, Ada Jackson, Daisy Richardson,  Elese Williams,  Alicia Hardy,  Carol Forester-Langford,  Gail Walker, Pauline     Wint Coleman and Donna Underwood for coming out! A BIG thank you to Ms. Birdie and our potential member, Anita Franklin for helping out.

In keeping with our Strategic Goals, on May 12, 2022, Delta Kappa donated a $500 check to Montgomery Elementary,  Ms. Olsen,  IDD instructor; along with Mr. Merrill,  Principal; Ms. Hernandez, Assistant Principal ; Ms Zavala, Family Specialist. Sorors present Melrose Haley, Pauline Wint Coleman, Daisy Richardson, Donna Underwood, President Weenonah Chambers, Annie Outland, Alicia Hardy and Ada Jackson.

The 2021-2022 Scholarship Luncheon Committee meeting on May 10th at Lin's International Buffet along with celebrating our President Weenonah Chambers' birthday.

On Saturday,  May 14th, Delta Kappa welcomed two new Queen Bees, Ruth Keys and Anita Franklin to our hive. We Sorors also celebrated our sister Melrose Haley's birthday.

The Delta Kappa youth, led by Soror Gail Walker,  participated in a litter pickup as part of San Antonio's Volunteer Community City Beautification Project at Schnabel Park on Tuesday, June 7th. A big THANK YOU to the Sorors who came out to assist in this endeavor.

Juneteenth at Commanche Park

Eta Phi Beta Sorority Inc, hosted by the Southern Region, conducted a successful 35th Biennial Grand Boule', 80th Anniversary, in New Orleans, Louisiana July 25-29, 2022.
Delta Kappa's Sorors Donna Underwood, Weenonah Chambers, Gail Walker, Elese Williams, Daisy Richardson, Melrose Haley and our youth Hayden Daniels attended and participated on various committees and workshops.
Congratulations to our incoming 19th National President, Sonda Bradfield, and her Executive Board and well-wishes to our outgoing 18th National President, Colette McCurdy-Jackson, and her Executive Board!
Additionally, congratulations to Hayden Daniels on being elected National Youth Vice President! Great job!!
Also, a special congratulation to our Chapter President, Weenonah Chambers, on being elected into the office of National Grand Journalist!

Delta Kappa President Weenonah Chambers along with Sorors Daisy Richardson and Elese Williams, participated in the PAINT THE PARKWAY WALK in recognition of breast cancer awareness on Saturday, October 14, 2022.

Thank you to our youth leader,  Wytantia Walker, for coordinating an outing for our youth at Ci Ci's pizza.  Kudos to our president, Weenonah Chambers and Sorors for coming out and/or sending monies to support our youth.

Delta Kappa Chapter adopted Vicky Johnson and family for Thanksgiving and we donated them a HEB gift card.

On December 16, 2022, Delta Kappa enjoyed the company of each other during their Christmas luncheon at Olive Garden. There was even Secret Santa! Great job Sorors Ada Jackson and Anita Freeman!

Delta Kappa youth group went caroling in Soror Ada Jackson's neighborhood on Saturday, December 17, 2022! Thank you Sorors Gail Walker and Ada Jackson for leading this beautiful event! Also, a GREAT BIG THANK YOU to our Sorors who participated along with our young people.

President Weenonah Chambers, along with Sorors Donna Underwood and Melrose Haley, made a "thinking of you" visit on our sister, Daisy Richardson at Heights at Heubner Rehabilitation Center on December 30, 2022.
